After two successful, planet-saving performances in NYC (Center at West Park & Caveat), Club Fistfight’s hot, eco-conscious showgirls are shimmying their way across the pond in the new musical BOMBSHELL!

WELCOME TO CLUB FISTFIGHT!

BOMBSHELL follows three sparkly Vegas showgirls who put up environmentally-conscious cabaret acts in a rundown nightclub called Club Fistfight. Despite their best attempts at making global warming hot, the club is closing. For their final performance, Scarlett, Jane, and Eliza decide to tell the audience a love story -- that of their very own Scarlett and fellow environmentalist Tony, who met at the club and fell madly for each other. As the story of their relationship unfolds, Tony pushes Scarlett to go further and sacrifice more for her message. And as the last show at Club Fistfight reaches a peak, Scarlett takes extreme action when a shocking secret is revealed.

BOMBSHELL is about how far we'll go for love, of each other, and of our planet, and who is really responsible for the end of the world.

Written/performed by Madison Mayer, composed/performed by Aila Swan, and directed/performed by Emory Kemph, BOMBSHELL is an international collaboration, and we’re super excited to bring the show to the UK!

This show started as a twinkle in Madison’s eye three years ago, and she’s extremely proud of the life it’s taken on. Madison wrote this show because she wanted to interrogate the line between activist performance and performative activism, questioning this in herself and in the art she consumes. She also wanted to honor her very sparkly showgirl mother, who taught her there was no combo more powerful than a big brain and a bit of lip gloss.

Madison feels very grateful to everyone who has already helped to bring this show to the next level. She’s been so lucky to collaborate with some of her favorite people: Emory, Aila, Nile, Jordan, Gabe, Max, Alyssa, Tenley, and Emily. She dreams that BOMBSHELL will continue to provide opportunities to talk about BIG stuff, have BIG belly laughs, and look BIG sexy while doing it.

In September 2024, BOMBSHELL was accepted into and premiered at the Center at West Park's Evolution Festival in NYC. Following this performance, the script, music, and direction were edited and refined. We then brought BOMBSHELL to Caveat, a cabaret-style venue in the Lower East Side, and SOLD OUT THE HOUSE! We’ve since been continuing to develop BOMBSHELL into the best musical about environmentalist showgirls the world has ever seen!

Madison, Emory, and Aila have been working their booties off to not only approach the show from a creative standpoint AND a performance standpoint, but also as producers. As you can imagine, bringing a new show to life is an expensive undertaking. We’re looking for fellow believers to help us make this summer happen!
