Bonaire Marine Ecology Program!
Donation protected
Hello!
My name is Paloma Velasquez. This summer, I have been given the opportunity to travel to Kralendijk, Bonaire for 1-2 months for a Marine Ecology program. Marine Science is the major I want to pursue this coming fall after graduating from highschool in May of 2017, therefore an opporunity like this one is too wonderful to pass up. The trip costs 6,000 dollars alltogether, including housing, classes, and scuba gear. I will have to pay for my own food and wetsuit, however, so I am setting out to raise as much as I can. Money has always been a downsetter for me, because my dreams are "too big for my pocket". This is why it would mean the world for anybody to donate any given amount, every cent counts! The money for this trip is due December first, but if I raise a good amount by then, my family has agreed to help me out if I repay them later on. This trip means everything to me, it means the beginning of a different chapter in my life, a kick off to adulthood. It is a chance for me to visibly and physically observe and interact with what I will be studying for the next four years of my life, in one of the most aquatically diverse islands in the world. I will be grateful weather it turns out the way I want it to or not, because the opportunity alone has widened many horizons of my life. Thank you in advance if you are donating, or for even putting in the time to read this. God bless!
