Bond University Graduation Film- Anna Pata

The Patchwork Life is a graduation film about how happiness and delusion can go hand-in-hand. The story begins when an elderly woman with dementia receives a mysterious package on her doorstep; the items inside spark beautiful memories of the past.
I grew up with grandparents who loved to tell stories about catching a Volkswagen to school in Orange County or teaching in rural Thailand during the 50s. One of my grandmothers, Florence Pata, was the first person I ever knew to suffer from memory loss (during the last month of her life). As a 12-year-old, it was very sad to see her lose her beautiful memories so quickly, to the point where she didn't remember who her children or grandchildren were.
In 2014, my grandmother Florence passed away. After nearly a decade without her, I was inspired by her stories and wrote my own, The Patchwork Life, as a dedication to her.
As both the writer and director of this film, I need to fund this project on my own. My professors and I have budgeted that it will cost about AUD 4,500 or USD 3,000 to complete this grad film. Your donations will go directly towards renting locations, buying supplies, and feeding the cast and crew.
All donors will receive a special "thank you" in the credits of my film.
Thank you so much for taking the time to support the final project of my undergraduate degree <3
