It was December 2023 when Bonnie received the devastating news – stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The diagnosis rocked her world, threatening to shatter the life she had built with her beloved husband over the past 46 years. Yet, true to her resilient spirit, Bonnie faced the challenge head-on.

From February 2024 onwards, Bonnie's life became a whirlwind of chemotherapy sessions at St. Mary Hospital. Each week, she endures grueling five-hour sessions, her body weakened but her resolve unbroken. A small port in her body became a gateway to hope, delivering daily doses of chemotherapy to combat the insidious disease.

Despite the physical and emotional toll of her treatment, Bonnie continues to show up at Castle Subaru, her dedication unwavering. Her colleagues rallied around her, offering words of encouragement and support as she navigates this uncharted territory.

But life had more challenges in store for Bonnie and her family. A sudden flood ravaged their home while they were away for just three days, adding to the already mounting medical expenses. The financial burden weighed heavily on their shoulders, threatening to overshadow the glimmer of hope that Bonnie clung to with all her might.
