Bonnie Lynch End of Life Preparation

Donation protected
On March 11th, 2022, the matriarch of my family and the strongest woman I know drove herself to Urgent Care in what she thought was a simple infection due to abdominal pain. The call that no one prepares you for was unfortunately anything but simple. A large uterine mass was found, with the high possibility of it being cancerous.
This was of course a shock, but the faith and hope was far from lost, knowing that technology has come leaps and bounds in the cancer industry we prayed it wasn’t cancerous…but the biopsy and PET scan shattered the heart of my warrior mother yet again.
A stage 4 terminal, incurable, rare and aggressive endometrial cancer diagnosis spread to the lymph nodes and liver was the fate we were given in less than 3 weeks from the initial Urgent Care visit.
The last effort was made through the top Oncologists in the United States at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City to find any possibility of a clinical trial that would allow more time, but yet again, we were disappointed and left with no available options.
The last four words my mother heard was “6 months or less…” before making the decision to go on Hospice care in late May (again, just 2 months after the initial diagnosis). The absolute earth angels of Hospice care have been nothing but saviors in this process to my entire family providing comfort during the most confusing, scary, and unprepared for times, we could not be more in gratitude for their services.
Making her as comfortable as possible at home was always the main goal of my family, but another hurdle was needed to be crossed when mom had to be transferred to the ER, testing positive for COVID for the first time since the pandemic began..
It is now June 2022, and my beautiful heroic mother is still fighting in what has felt like a lifetime in 3 short months. Funds raised will go towards end of life expenses, stain glass memory artwork, and any leftover will be donated to giving to the incredible caregivers who have provided her with love, support, medical care and comfort during this transition.
I will post updates on here as I can and thank everyone from the bottom of the hearts of my family.Prayers and healing energy sent to our direction is appreciated beyond words if unable to donate monetarily.
