Bonny Eagle Soccer Club land development
Tax deductible
Land was donated to the Town of Standish in 2014 for soccer fields for the community. The benevolent benefactor was convinced to donate more land for a total of 6 soccer fields. The town did not develop the land and as year went by, new members of government came and went. Later, the town assessed its resources and decided to sell the vacant, undeveloped land, through a sealed bid auction.
The Bonny Eagle Soccer Club board was discussing its future and one board member investigated this Standish land she had heard about. It was on the very day the auction opened. Serendipitous! She then rallied the club and community support to try and purchase this land intended to be for the children of the community. They perservered and the town negotiated a deal with the club and sold it to them for $1.
BESC is now preparing to take those 22.4 acres and turn it into every community's dream-an athletic complex that can be used for the betterment of everyone! We have a lot of work to do but we have made it this far. It kind of feels like it was meant to be. We would love your help to make the origianl vision come true. And once it's done, come and play with us!
Thanks for any support you can provide!
Best,
BESC
