I never met my uncle Boogie Gonzalez however, the same activism runs with my blood and that’s why I stand with the Lil Boogie Mural Restoration Project & the active effort to push for a park naming after him in the 25th Ward.
Boogie still lives in each and everyone he inspired.
Mural done was not done in the image or the approval of the Gonzalez Family and we decided to make the image that we are proud of in the family’s name.
Boogie deserves to have a mural in his honor without ego of others & unite the community who still live in Pilsen. We plan to have a memorial ceremony & more to announce at a later date.
