Hello everyone, on September 27, 1984 Booker Harlan Jr. was Born at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas. Oct 12, 2021 Booker Harlan Jr was found unresponsive in his Sacramento CA home. Every loss is unexpected, exceedingly frustrating and expensive. All proceeds will go towards bringing closure and comfort to the friends and family of Booker Harlan Jr. During this unfortunate period of our lives. The Harlan family would like to Thank You in advance for all of your generosity and ask that you would keep our family in your prayers.
This has been very difficult to write. I’m Tish , Booker Harlan Jr oldest sister. Booker was my brother, my best friend , my listener , and the shoulder I had to cry on. He loved his family and family was everything to him. He loved us all.To all his friends and associates he talked about you all doing positive things in life. He told me so many names I can’t remember. We had every day conversations. My brother was very ambitious and determined to create entertainment venues for others. There is not one of you that he didn’t tell me about so you are all special to him and our family.
We’d like to host a memorial service in his honor with a repass afterwards. Due to this being unexpected we are not able to bring him back home. It would cost us almost $10,000 to have him prepared and shipped back to Texas. We’d then have to wait to see if Texas would accept him. Then we’d still have funeral expenses from funeral home in Houston. So we have decided to have memorial services in Houston and afterwards a lantern release with personal messages to him. For those that come we’d like to have a repass after the service. We need help with a facility to host his memorial. Not knowing the fees yet . Booker Harlan Sr and our family will be looking asap. We have to secure deposit on building, rental for his service. There are some venues with service and meal packages. We are waiting on cremation.
I’m an incare of Nate Dog and Justice from here on . We tried to bring his belongings back but the fees are $6800.00 from Sacramento to Texas. No matter how far we schedule the truck rental it’s the same price. Due to people moving out of California and not back in. So we have put his things in storage until we figure this all out.
