BookNet Fest 2024

Hello Book Lovers!

At BookNet Fest, our mission is to unite all members of the book community, from creators to readers to writers to authors, with no restrictions due to platform, platform size, or most-read genre. Through panels, workshops, and networking, BookNet Fest seeks to equip attendees with the skills and resources needed to improve the quality of the content that sprouts up around books. Community is at the heart of all we do. By supporting BookNet Fest (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization), you will be directly helping this mission.

Many events saw their end during the height of the pandemic years-- a struggle we also have felt. Over the last few years, we found ourselves with canceled events, canceled contracts, and an uncertain future. We returned in 2023 with a successful in person event that also left us operating at a budget loss. In order to ensure 2024 can happen, we need community support.

Since the creation of this event, we have ensured that diversity is at the heart and soul of our event. As such, our panelists come from a variety of backgrounds, races, sexualities, genders, and platform sizes. In 2018, we created a fund specifically for sponsoring diverse creators who otherwise would not be able to attend the event. Supporting BookNet Fest ensures that everyone has a voice in our community.

All funds raised will be used for operations costs as well as:
-- our marginalized creator sponsorship fund that allows us to pay entirely for the travel, boarding, and food costs of panelists that wouldn't be able to attend otherwise
-- costs for expanding the social events outside of panels
-- to further work towards our goal of being able to provide a stipend to our wonderful panelists who help make BookNet Fest what it is
-- AV and WiFi costs to be able to stream the event in the future to those that can't attend and/or have panelists join the in-person event virtually

We know that with your help, we can meet this goal and continue the event for years to come.

BookNet Fest is a completely non-profit event run by a volunteer staff. All money raised will be going exclusively to event costs.

If you support our continuing mission of uniting the online book community, giving a voice to those that haven't had one in the past, and bringing book lovers together to discuss all things books, please consider donating to BookNet Fest.

Thank you, and we hope to see you at BookNet Fest in the future!
