Books for Kids Impacted by LA Fires
Donation protected
Since January 7th, the fires in LA have devastated communities in ways we can hardly begin to comprehend. Entire neighborhoods, schools, and libraries in places like Palisades and Altadena have burnt, leaving families and children with the heartbreaking task of rebuilding their lives.
In the midst of this overwhelming loss, a beautiful opportunity has arisen to make a difference. Schools like Nora Sterry Elementary and a few others have opened their doors to support the students and teachers displaced by the fires. Our family has started a campaign to raise funds that will help provide new books for an upcoming “free” book fair on Sunday, January 19th at 11 am, and many others in the near future.
More specifically, in the next 48 hours, we will be using the funds raised to purchase books for elementary school children from local bookstores in the surrounding neighborhoods who also have been directly or indirectly impacted by the fires.
This is a chance to bring some light and normalcy back into the lives of children who have been through so much. Let’s come together to help enrich their worlds, one book at a time. Your donation will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children.
