Sponsor a Book to Support Bereaved Children & Young People

Hello, my name is Lorna Vyse, and I am a Childhood Bereavement Specialist and self-published Children's Author. I'm seeking your help with sponsoring my books to gift to bereaved children and young people or to organisations that support them. Each book costs £12 (plus P&P) and can make such a difference to a child's life when someone significant dies.

As a self-published author, I face the challenge of limited print runs and tight budgets. This means I am unable to freely gift my books to the families and organisations that need them most. That’s why I am asking for your support. I know times are tough but anything you can afford will help, and together we can help books reach those that need them.

Supporting bereaved children has been my life’s passion, and through my work, I aim to help children navigate the difficult journey of grief with compassion and understanding. I write realistic, honest books that sensitively address topics such as serious illness, end-of-life care, and the death of loved ones — including beloved pets. These stories are carefully crafted to help children, their families, and professionals engage in conversations about grief and what happens when people die and to help bereaved children take the first steps toward healing.

Your generous donation will allow me to purchase and donate my books to children and their families, schools, hospices and bereavement organisations that need them. Together, we can provide comfort and guidance to children and young people during some of the hardest times in their lives.
