Boomer emergency vet hospital bill for cont care

Hi, my name is Julia, and I am fundraising for my 4 yo goldendoodle Boomer.

He was at a reputable boarding camp last week while I was out of town and on the last day (Friday), he became suddenly ill with bloody diarrhea and vomiting. He became lethargic as well, so facility took him to vet urgent care. He decompensated quickly. they called me to alert me that he was in shock and did I want CPR if necessary, which vet didnt' recommend at that point. This was a shock and completely unexpected. He was diagnosed with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, most likely secondary to anaphylaxis, source unknown.

He is young and otherwise healthy. They managed to get his vital signs stabilized and transferred him on Friday to a vet emergency hospital where he has been to this day. The bleeding has stopped but he is still having put water diarrhea despite meds, and not eating.

I have paid a 2 thousand in deposit so far in 2 days, but they are wanting more money to continue to treat him. We are currently up to $4000 at last estimate. I am single and work fulltime. This is a nightmare that I can't wake up from.

If I can't pay, they will end up discharging him even though he is still critically ill.

We let people set up reasonable payment plans for medical emergencies, but not for our pets!

I just want him to recover and come home! He is all I have and I can't bear for him to die bc "i can't afford it".

I will only use the funds to cont to pay for his vet emergency hospital bill.

I know people say this but he is my best friend, and like my baby. He has suffered so much bc I had to leave town and if I had stayed home, he would have been fine. My other dog died a year ago, and I can't go through this again, nor watch him so sick.

He needs around the clock IV fluids, anti nausea and diarrhea meds. This adds up fast. I had already spent thousands in the last 2 days. I have no extra funds. I will do anything to save this sweet boy.

Please, anything will help. He is my only family. We still have so much to do and see together. Our time can't be up yet due to $$ and greed.

I just want him to get the care he needs. Anything will help.
