Boost Emerson Elementary's SPED Classroom

Hi, I'm in the process of a career change from the nonprofit world to my first year SPED teaching! I am working on setting up my classroom with all the things the students need to effectively learn. I am teaching at Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary in Mesa, AZ. The students come from primarily low-income environments. I am responsible for 22 students aged kindergarten to 2nd grade.
Help me create an effective environment for students with issues leading to their learning delays including ADD, ADHD, autism, speech delays and others.
The set up includes a reading circle on the rug, while other students work on language and math at the kidney table. The best place in the room is the cozy corner, or the safe place students will go to when they need a break, or are having trouble managing their emotions .
Active hands on learning begins with teaching techniques. Repetition is still the way, but providing different methods to apply the skills to helps students internalize information. Flip charts instead of worksheets allows visual and textile learning paths. A calm corner allows student to rapidly manage emotions that would otherwise hinder learning. Games are another way for practical application in a fun, engaging way that stimulates visually, textually, and auditorily. Sensory chairs reduce the focus on the body's need for movement and focus the brain on learning. Practicing fine motor skills fosters cognitive growth.
