Providing Music Therapy for Special Needs in Lubbock

Dirt City Music Association is partnering to help Milestones Development and Play Park launch a new Music Therapy program. Dirt City Music's mission is to assist in local music education and therapy and when we found out Milestones was introducing a new music therapy program to our community, we knew this was a cause to get behind.

For the music therapy sessions, the therapist has requested a number of percussion instruments, a keyboard, and a marimba. Many of these instruments can be quite costly, and while we do have relationships with local businesses that will help us to purchase instruments at a greatly reduced price, we are still needing to raise as much as we can to best outfit this therapy program for years to come. The program will be available to all of the community here in Lubbock, but will particularly impact younger people with special needs. This is truly a service that our community is lacking in and will be a blessing to those that are able to benefit from these medical services.

We are asking that you donate to this wonderful cause. Our time frame is short as the sessions will start in late July, but we know our efforts will bring positive results and some wonderful instruments to the music therapy sessions.
