Seattle to Tijuana

I've been a grassroots activist, movement journalist, and national organizer for several decades. My work within the movement goes back to before WTO with police brutality protests in the streets of Seattle Wa. I'm a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard , a Water Protector, an Antifascist, and a builder of roads and bridges. 

I've been in Tijuana and along the border in Texas since Nov 21st organizing aid and relief to asylum seekers and helping establish a network of support camps on indigenous lands to resist wall construction which is scheduled to begin early Feb 2019. 

Allies and I have established an activist collective on the ground in Tijuana and we're providing beds, wifi, laundry, and food for up to 25 working activists at no cost. We're hosting incoming and outgoing volunteers. We're working to create and connect support camps on the U.S. side of the border to support/relief hubs at border entry points in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas to offer aid to asylum seekers. As this work is very demanding, long term, and without official funding, it's not easy to sustain. I've taken a leave of absence from my job in Seattle and put my things in storage, letting my apartment there go. I'll be on the border for the rest of the winter at the very least. We simply cant sustain this work without the help of others. So please donate and share the campaign. Even $5 would makes a difference.

I'll be doing updates, sharing livestreams, vids, pics, stories, and interviews along the journey. My commitment is to bring you an unbiased and raw view of the crisis along the border through the experiences and voices of those living it.
