Borchert's Meat Market

In 2015, after years in the food industry, we realized our dream of owning a neighborhood meat market!  We live within a mile of our store, and we envisioned being a staple in the community by offering the highest quality meat and grocery products.  

Shortly after cutting the ribbon on our store, we had 3 major setbacks including a theft, criminal damage to our property, and a major mechanical repair.  This resulted in thousands and thousands of dollars lost, and really hurt our bottom line.  We had just gotten started and it seemed it was almost over.  Insurance only covered so much. (we were just too new)  We had to come up with the funds out of our own resources.  Hard to do for a family of 7.  But we poured our heart and soul into this store, our store, and we knew we had to keep going. "We bought ourselves a job" Dave says.
