COVID-19 Relief Project in Rural India
Donation protected
We are Borderless Allies, a non-profit organization formed to call on a global plan to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. We are a team of volunteers whose mission is to provide food and personal protective equipment (PPE) to underprivileged communities around the world.
$5 might seem trivial, but with only $5, you can support a desperate family in underprivileged regions, providing enough food that last for 2 weeks!

Background and our mission:
As first world countries struggle to contain the virus with large amounts of resources, we can't help but imagine the difficulties faced by developing countries and members of the most vulnerable sectors of the world. A significant increase in COVID-19 infections could rapidly overwhelm their already weak health systems. In addition to this, neglected developing countries can easily become the next pandemic hotspot if left unprioritized and unsupported. This can affect the whole country as well as the global community by increasing the chances of being reinfected by the COVID-19
Most people in developing countries are informal workers who rely on daily cash earning for a living. COVID-19 left them with choices of protecting their health but sacrificing their livelihood, and continuing to work to provide food on their table but left unprotected from the virus. Over 49 million people are forced into extreme poverty and don't have privileges to stay at home. Millions have to continue working outside their homes during lockdowns and quarantines in order to feed their families. These people are at great risk for infection and police brutality.
As a grassroots movement, we hope to inspire others by act on kindness and doing impactful things that define humanity. Now, we want to create a butterfly effect of globalized help & support to establish a network of organizations that work in sync for this mutual cause. We believe even a volunteer organization has the ability to achieve an international mission and create great impacts if we all work together.
Unlike the large non-profits which spend millions of dollars on marketing and overhead salaries, we are a volunteer organization which dedicates 100% of all our funds raised for direct disaster relief, providing food and other essential supplies for the most needy families in global communities. Borderless Allies is ran by 36 dedicated and passionate volunteers located in different corners of the earth. We can promise our donor that every dollar will make its maximum impact through our operation and reach the people who are most in need.
In addition, we have partnered up with more than 20 non-profit organizations in 10 different developing countries. We operate through collaboration with a network of non-profit organizations. Working together makes us to decrease our cost for operation, and deliver our support in the most cost-efficient and timely manner.

Why this relief work is important in India:
The whole world is experiencing an pandemic of Covid-19 these days. Everywhere, the situation is seen to go from bad to worse. All governments are trying to deal with this pandemic with different strategies on their own. But in a populous country like India, this pandemic is taking the form of a dual pandemic. The reason is - the population and poverty here. The condition of marginalized communities of society is getting worse day by day. The government has extended the lockdown period as a deterrent to the disease. Daily laborers, who earn their bread from the poor and small businesses, are facing the double whammy of this pandemic in which they are facing the crisis of poverty and hunger in addition to the Coronavirus.
It is noteworthy that even today, the condition of people on the basis of caste, religion and income is not the same in Indian society. We can see this clearly in rural areas, in which the people of lower or Dalit caste still do not have their own land or own source of income, but they do their daily wages and feed themselves.
