Bordon Mens Shed new build

We have had a Men's Shed in Bordon Hampshire for over 8 years, but due to development we have had to leave two venues where we held our workshops.

We have been awarded a grant from East Hampshire District Council which will cover the cost of the new pre owned site cabins.. Planning Permission as been applied for and we await the outcome of that.

Mens Sheds are places were men (and women) can meet and socialise whilst doing typical Shed work, mainly in wood.

Connection, conversation and creation – that’s what joining a Men’s Shed is all about.

Banishing loneliness and isolation isn’t easy, which is why Men’s Sheds encourages local communities to come together to build, fix and restore – projects as well as themselves!

The typical shedder is feeling lonely and displaced and although not necessarily old, older people find great comfort there. The UK Mens Shed Association https://menssheds.org.uk/ has more details. They are country wide and can be found in many towns.
