Boris's Funeral Costs

Dear Family, Friends, and Fellow Students,

 

It is with great sadness that we announce to you the untimely and sudden passing of our Boris Posavec.  I am Boris's wife, and I am organizing this fundraiser in order to give Boris the memorial he deserves, and give his family in Croatia a chance to honor his memory and say their last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations as early as possible in order to be able to afford the transportation to the City of Zagreb for the funeral service. This is the least we can do in such a devastating moment.

The funds will be spent in the following regard:
Funeral Home basic service fee: 2100
Transport remains to funeral home: 325
Embalming: 725
Preparing the Body: 250
Transportation to Croatia: up to 15,000
Transport remains to funeral home in Croatia: 325
Facilities and Staff to manage a viewing: 425
Facilities and Staff to manage a funeral ceremony: 500
Hearse: 325
Service Car: 150
Casket: up to 3000
Vault: 1400
Burial plot cost and gravesite expense: up to 3000
Cost of opening the ground, placing the remains in the ground, and burial: up to 1200
Flowers: 500
Headstone/Grave Marker: up to 5000
Any remaining money will go to Boris's family to help them during this difficult time. As his wife, I have spoken with Boris's parents about transferring remaining funds to them after all of the funeral costs.
