Bosham Football Club Water Repairs

Bosham FC (established in 1901) is a community football club that currently runs 2 Youth Teams (U14 and U16) and 2 Senior Teams. We are funded by the generosity of our sponsors and through bar and kitchen takings on matchdays. This allows us to maintain the pitch and run the clubhouse at the Bosham Recreation ground which is owned by the Parish Council. We also incur the usual costs of running an amateur football club, and that includes costs for youth and senior training venues outwith the recreation ground, and hiring a ground for our vets team to play their home games.

Recently, a substantial water leak means we have been forced to fund the replacement of buried pipework from the water mains to the club house. Groundwork and materials for about 30meters! This particular unbudgeted and expensive work has left us with a £5k hole in our usual costs and has resulted in the club finances being challenged this season more than is normal. Our cashflow had already been impacted by the knock on effects of COVID and a lack of home games due to bad weather.

The committee and volunteers work tirelessly to raise funds and gain sponsorship to allow us to continue to provide a club to develop young players through the Youth Team system to play at first team level, and beyond. This fund raiser will help to fill that unexpected financial hole, and give us back a level of stability.
