Muslim Community for citizens of Bowling Green, KY - Tornado Relief Fund

This is a joint Muslim effort for all citizens of Bowling Green, KY affected by latest tornado. 

The purpose of this fundraising effort is to allow for Muslim and Bosnian communities across the United States and the entire world to assist in the rebuilding efforts in Bowling Green.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, December 11th, 2021, the Bowling Green community suffered through a tragic and devastating tornado that resulted in the loss of life, property and businesses. As of Tuesday, December 14th, the death toll stands at fifteen individuals that have lost their lives, including a Bosnian family that lost five family members.

 

Thousands of citizens have been affected by tornado disaster. The outpour of support has been significant from the local community as well as local Muslim-Bosnian-lead non-profit organizations.

 

Three major Muslim-Bosnian lead 501-3(c) non-profit organizations (Bosnian American Association, Bosnian Islamic Center & Islamic Center of Bowling Green) have joined forces in the effort to ensure that the wider Bowling Green community have all the resources necessary to rebuild.

 

We’ve had a significant outpour of support from Bosnian and Islamic communities outside of Bowling Green contributing monetary and non-monetary donations, such as clothing and food. We are truly grateful for all the support and contributions thus far.

In the coming weeks and months, families will need significant contributions to rebuild their lives back to normal.
We will work in hand with the city and other government organizations to ensure that the funds are distributed to those in need in a transparent and honest fashion.
