Bossfight Brewing Company

Hi, my name is Kolton Huerta. I've been a professional brewer for almost 8 years now. I got my start at my family's brewery, Kilt Check Brewing Co. I brewed and operated Kilt Check for 3 years then moved to other breweries. I spent a little bit of time as the assistant brewer at Flix Brewhouse, I was an assistant production manager at Mother Trail, I contract brewed for some other small brewpubs around town, then I landed at Ex Novo where I learned to hone my skills in brewing even further.

My uncle, Mike Campbell, is the one who started Kilt Check. He has been brewing in Albuquerque for almost 30 years. Sadly, he passed away recently. My aunt, Sheryl Campbell, decided to pass the brewery on to me and my cousins Chase Campbell and Halstyn Campbell who are currently working very hard to rebrand the company into an arcade/game lounge brewery. Bringing in new ideas, new beers, and revamping to try and keep my family's dream alive. We already have a good plan for changing the atmosphere and bringing in games like retro cabinet video games, and retro consoles, having an area for holding video game tournaments, as well as some seating for people who want to play tabletop games. We also wanted to use this opportunity to support local artists by creating a space for local art to be viewed and sold and pay local artists to create art for our business such as labels, t-shirt designs, and anything else we need.

We have a brewers license, and a standing operational brewery to start, but we need a little bit of money to help keep things going. There are also new things we want to implement. We need a little more equipment for a Kombucha program, as well as other non-alcoholic choices so we can create something for everybody. We may want to start a barrel aging program and need a little more equipment for that as well. We are proud of the idea of a package program that reuses materials to make things more sustainable by using a 4-head counter pressure bottle filler. There's no better way to recycle than to clean and reuse the bottles directly. On top of all this, we could use some money for some food equipment and to help maintain or upgrade the equipment we have.

So please, help us achieve our goals and continue our dream. More importantly, help us build a community for gamers and people who love nostalgia. A community that wants to be more sustainable and help give back. Brewing with intention, creating fun times, and bringing more love to Albuquerque. Help us create Bossfight Brewing Company!
