Honor Milo, Celebrate June: Help March of Dimes

I am so excited and honored to say that I will be running the Boston Marathon this year in support of the March of Dimes. Raising money for this incredible organization means more to me than I can express—because premature births have impacted my family in a profound way.

My nephew Milo was born prematurely November 8th, 2018 and passed away from complications. His short time with us left an indelible mark on our hearts. Three years later, my sister Caitlin and her husband Stuart had my beautiful niece June, who was born premature on January 22nd 2022 at just 2lbs 14oz. June is now a beautiful, thriving, joyful little girl. She is the light of our lives, and every day, I am reminded of how precious and fragile life can be.

This personal experience is why I am running for the March of Dimes—a cause that supports families facing the heartbreaking realities of premature birth and birth defects. Premature birth is the leading cause of infant death in the U.S., affecting 1 in 10 babies each year. But the March of Dimes is about more than just preventing premature births; it’s about advancing research to eliminate birth defects, improving maternal health, and preventing pregnancy complications that threaten the lives of both mothers and babies. Their tireless advocacy and groundbreaking research ensure that more babies can be born full-term, healthy, and ready to thrive.

The March of Dimes isn’t just a charity to me; it’s a movement powered by the stories of families who have fought, and continue to fight, for their babies’ lives. These stories of resilience, hope, and determination inspire me every day to take action. This is why I’m running the Boston Marathon—not just to challenge myself, but to honor the memory of my nephew Milo and to celebrate the strength and growth of my niece June.
