Archibald and Porter Run the Boston Marathon

The Boston Marathon. It's a trek from the quaint little town of Hopkinton 26.2 miles east to Downtown Boston takes place on Patriots day each year. It's about the runners, the volunteers, the folks that live along the route, the folks that live in New England.....it's about so much more. It's a day of rest and relaxation. It's a day of reflection. It's a day to be thankful. It's a day to appreciate our freedoms and a day to prove that we will not be scared.
We made the decision in a small pizza place in Plymouth Mass over a couple of beers. My cousin Erik and I have discussed the possibility in the past, but the commitment required quite a bit of thought and dedication along with the support of our families and friends. We've decided to run the next Boston Marathon.
The Boston Marathon Charity program was responsible for raising 36.6 million dollars for over 260 charities in 2018. The towns along the route as well as the City of Boston are key to the safety and the security of the event. No doubt a great toll is paid by those along the way. We are raising funds for the town that hosts the starting line, Hopkinton.
30,000 runners will embark on the town of Hopkinton on April 15th along with their supporters, race officials, and spectators. It's a great event that is managed in part by the Hopkinton Police Association, who will welcome those folks in and out of town safely and securely.
Both Erik and I have close ties to that department and we'd like to help them continue to drive this race and the charities it supports to success. Please consider giving what you can in support of us as well as the Department.
Thanks!
