Boston Marathon team LLEGO

This year I am running the Boston Marathon and raising money for LLEGO Boston. LLEGO is a Boston based non-profit organization comprised of Emergency First Responders and Citizens that have come together to promote community policing and encourage the youth to consider a role in Law Enforcement. They have created programing to support community members in their goals of becoming police officers and give back to the community by getting Officers to volunteer in the communities in which they serve. I have the honor of representing them this year and raising money for their association.

In 2022 My son Mattis was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis which is an inflammation of the spinal cord. Mattis was almost two years old when he took a nap and woke up fully paralyzed. After many months at Children's hospital and Spaulding Rehab Mattis was able to return home to begin his lengthy Physical Therapy process in hopes of regaining his ability to walk and become mobile again.

Mattis has a long way to go until that day comes, but my goal until that days is to run one marathon a year until my son walks again. Hopefully joining me one day to run a Marathon raising money for spinal cord injuries.

I completed the Chicago Marathon in 2022 and the Marine Corps Marathon this past year in 2023. LLEGO has given me this amazing opportunity to continue my goal this year with running the Boston Marathon.
