Boston to San Francisco 2024

In less than 4 months 5 of us will ride from Boston to San Francisco.

We are raising money initially to help cover the cost of our journey. The initial fundraising efforts will be accomplished here. Once our ride starts, our fundraising efforts will go directly to the AIDS Lifecycle via a special link. We have implemented tools and processes to keep track of our expenditures and are happy to share a report with you for full transparency. Every extra dollar raised will go directly to the AIDS Lifecycle.

Each of us has budgeted considerable time and resources to make this ride happen, but there are still some things we will need help with:

Groceries

Weekly hotel stays for bike maintenance, rest, and a much-needed bath.

Gas and along-the-ride maintenance for our emergency vehicle and SAG.

During our journey, we will practice cost-cutting measures such as:

Cooking in lieu of eating out

Camping with once weekly hotel stays for washing up

Using some of the many warm shower hosts across the nation for free lodging/meals.

Sourcing in-kind support from friends and strangers

Funds raised from our efforts will be directly distributed to the AIDS Lifecycle. The AIDS Lifecycle will distribute our funds to both the San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF) and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. It is our goal to raise over $100,000! Both agencies will use the funds to provide life-saving services including medical support for HIV+ folks, prevention, research, and education around HIV/AIDS.
