Botania Retexture

Hi, I'm williewillus, lead maintainer of Botania, a mod produced by Violet Moon Modding.

Botania is a free tech mod for Minecraft Java Edition themed around natural magic. Gameplay is centered around creating magical flowers and devices using Mana, the power of the earth.

 

It was first released in 2014 for Forge on Minecraft 1.6 and has grown with Minecraft throughout the years. Today it is a staple mod, available for all versions up to Minecraft 1.18 on both the Forge and Fabric platforms, and has reached over 87.12 million downloads in aggregate.

 

Botania's current set of textures has not been updated since the 1.12 era in 2017 and has started to show their age, especially when put next to modern textures from the vanilla game from version 1.14 onwards.

 

This crowdfunding is to raise money to commission a retexture of the entire mod into a modern style. The principal artists are artemisSystem and Falkory.

 

Some redone textures are already in Botania today as a preview of what's to come.

 

If excess funds remain after the retexture is complete, they will be donated to a charity of the Violet Moon Modding team's choice. This donation will be published.
