Help both my son & his wife, beat kidney cancer!
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Ruby Carnes, or Grandma to all who know me. I am not one to ask for help, but I have already lost one son to a brain tumor and I pray I will not lose another. It is heart wrenching as a mother to admit I am in no shape to help one of my children. So I am reaching out to you, no I am pleading with a mothers anguished heart for help.
This plea is for my baby boy ( they are always my babies no matter their age) Gary and his wife Bonnie. You see, in October of 2021 Bonnie was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney cancer with complications of the tumor growing up into her diaphragm. Talking about 2 peas in a pod, just barely 3 months after Bonnie’s diagnosis, Gary himself was diagnosed with kidney and bladder cancer as well.
We are thankful and so blessed that my daughter’s ( in-law) treatment and surgery was successful. Gary started treatments at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fl. about 4 & 1/2 hours from home, which quickly depleted their savings, only to find out his insurance would not cover it.
Gary has had to start over at Emory in Atlanta Ga., which is still almost 3 & 1/2 hours from home. His cancer is aggressive and growing rapidly. Please help me get my baby boy to his appointments this month,(March 22, 2023) and lodging for his wife, as we pray the doctors can do surgery on the 28th of this month.
As Bonnie has healed she is trying to work to help offset all the expenses, but with both of their medical bills coming in, upcoming travel and expected bills, they are overwhelmed.
I would be greatly appreciative of your prayers and/or any help you could give to cover travel, lodging and extra medical expenses that insurance does not cover. Any donation would help to ease their burden and lift this mommas heart! Thank you for reading our story and please share it as much as you can. God bless you all!
