Boulder Marathon

Hi friends and family! I'm running the Boulder Marathon on October 8th and raising money to benefit Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation.

As many of you know, this past June our 2 year old son, Fox, became severely ill with a respiratory infection and was hospitalized for 4 days at the Children's Hospital of Colorado. He had bronchiolitis due to Rhinovirus infection ( the common cold) and it triggered what will probably be the first of many asthma exacerbations he will have in his life. It was terrible to watch his little body struggle to breath and gasp for air. And to have it happen so fast and unexpectedly was shocking for all of us, most importantly Foxie himself. Once we got him to Children's though, everything turned around and it was an amazing relief to have the team there take such good care of him - From the minute he got to the ER and they got his breathing stabilized, to the on-demand Paw Patrol Movie which he watched on repeat in his room the entire stay, and now being followed closely as an outpatient at the Children's Colorado Breathing Institute. It was an awful experience for a toddler to be hospitalized, and not fun for mom and dad either, but we are just so thankful to have such an amazing Children's Hospital in Colorado.
