Boys and Girls Club of Lakeland

Our local Boys and Girls club lost it’s building in the last hurricane. They have been in a gym for the last couple of years. We are short finishing the building by about $25,000.
I am a 71 year old who has decided to ride a bicycle down the coast of Florida on A1A from Fernandina Beach to 0 mile marker in Key West, about 600 miles, over 9 days, to raise funds for this project.
Our local Boys and Girls Club operates four locations in our area of Lakeland Florida, and currently serves approximately 400 children, many from single-parent homes. They provide a safe haven, hot meals and a caring environment. Our Mulberry location was completely destroyed by Hurricane Irma in 2017 and the kids have been meeting in a school gym without even basic supplies. I want to get this finished so it is up and running with proper supplies by the time summer break is upon them.
