Boys Volleyball 2022
Donation protected
I have been coaching volleyball at the John D. O'Bryant School of Math & Science for 13 years, and I can tell you that our program has made a significant impact on hundreds of young men. It is beyond wins and loses. Our goal is to develop young men who achieve in the classroom, become leaders and attend the best colleges. Seven of our alumni have graduated from MIT, Harvard, Princeton and Dartmouth Colleges and dozens have graduated or currently attend universities such as Boston College, Boston University, Northeastern, UMASS system ( Amherst, Boston and Lowell), Wentworth and Tufts.
This year we have 44 young men from grades 7 to 12 in our program, and although we have been ranked as one of the top 25 teams in the state, our goal will continue to focus on character and leadership building! A few of our guys will play college volleyball, but the expectation is that EACH of them will attend college!
We need your help. We need to be able to use all three of our courts, but two of the net systems need new parts. We also need to buy new uniforms for Varsity and JVB (we carry varsity, JVA and JVB), and we would like to purchase warm-up shirts for our boys, and team managers (a norm outside of our district) and all of all guys need new shorts. Finally, these funds will also help us pay for senior gifts for the next two seasons and a new tri-net holder.
I appreciate your support!
Sincerely,
Mr. Pitts-Dilley
