Bozzelli Race 5k Race: Raising Funds for Falls Cancer Club
Donation protected
Libert and Madeline Bozzelli were local humanitarians who dedicated their lives to making the world a better place. After 75 years of marriage and hundreds of millions of dollars raised between the two of them for various causes, Madeline and Libert passed away in 2022. This fundraiser is to ensure their legacy of giving back will live on.
Madeline and Libert championed dozens of causes and single-handedly orchestrated hundreds (probably thousands) of fundraisers for charities, non-profits, hospitals, and associations. They were an unstoppable team that could accomplish anything with each other's support.
To keep their legacy alive, we have started an annual fund to raise money that will be donated to a different cause each year. This year, all proceeds will benefit the Falls Cancer Club - a local organization that helps patients through their fight against cancer. When Libert was diagnosed with colon cancer in the 80s, he turned to the Falls Cancer Club for support. He was eternally grateful for the resources the local organization provided. Once he was in remission, he volunteered for the club for decades, driving patients to and from appointments and sitting with them during their treatments, The 2024 race will benefit this wonderful organization that meant so much to both Madeline and Libert.
The race will take place on Saturday, September 21. All information can be found at www.bozzelliraceforthefuture.com. Falls Cancer Club will receive funds by October 1, 2024.
