Support the Cobb Family
Donation protected
Thank you for visiting Kelly's Gofundme page. As most of you already know Kelly and Chris welcomed their beautiful, healthy baby boy, Jacob Alexander Cobb, on October 5. Chris was able to make it home safely from his deployment in Kuwait prior to Jacob's birth and after blessing #2's arrival they were able to spend some quality family time at home enjoying every moment and adjusting as a new family of four.
Eight days after Jacobs delivery, Kelly started to suffer from severe headaches, and despite our stubborn Kelly, Chris decided it was best to take her to the ER in Frederick, which thankfully he did because it was there she had a stroke and was able to get immediate medical attention. The head scan at FMH showed there was hemorrhaging(bleeding) in the brain so our precious Kelly was airlifted to John Hopkins in Baltimore on 10/14 and has been in the Neurology ICU since her arrival. Kelly has had several major surgeries and will have a very long road to recovery. The good news is that she is stable currently and when conscious can respond to limited commands and move extremities (fingers, toes, squeeze hand, etc.)
As you can imagine Chris and family have been inundated with phone calls to/from family and friends and consumed with meetings with the medical team, as well as, making the many necessary arrangements needed when a loved one is hospitalized unexpectedly; so if you could kindly respond through here and her family will respond as they get time (please be patient). We will update this page as often as possible with her progress.
In order to help ease the burden on her family and allow them the necessary time to focus on Kelly we will be collecting donations through this website that will go directly to assist in her and the boys care. Since Kelly is in the ICU she is unable to receive flowers so in lieu of please feel free to send a kind message of support or share a memorable story with others thru this website or if your heart is so compelled to donate funds, her family would be grateful.
Thank you all for your continued prayer during this difficult time. We appreciate it more than words can say!
