#BLACKPANTHERCHALLENGE For Youth

Tax deductible

Marvel's Black Panther movie is shaping up to be the biggest African-American cinematic experience — of all times. The movie is already breaking records for selling more tickets in one day than any other Marvel movie in history!

The Capital City Black Film Festival, a supporter of the non-profit Black Film Collective based in Austin, Texas, is accepting the #blackpantherchalllenge to send 200 students of color to a free screening with each child receiving a snack pack.

Our reasoning is simple; how many of today's #titantsoftech had their STEAM spark initiated after seeing timeless sci-fi classics like the Star Wars franchise as a young child?

A $20 investment for even the slightest possibility that just one child has an aha! moment after seeing themselves reflected back on the big screen in a positive light is a no-brainer investment opportunity.

At least it is to us. If you agree - we would love to have your support.

All additional funds raised beyond our goal will be used to support youth programming at the 6th Annual Capital City Black Film Festival scheduled for August 2018 in Austin. Our goal is to ensure that underrepresented youth are exposed to all aspects of the film industry on a year-round basis.

If you live in Texas and are looking for an adult Black Panther Opening Weekend experience - be sure to check out the Black Panther Texas Theatre Takeover happening in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio - in partnership with the Alamo Drafthouse Theatres.
