Help Scooter Walk Again!
Earlier in the summer of 2024, Scooter showed up to our doorstep as a stray. We've been fostering him ever since and providing for him in any way that we can, by setting up a cat house for him on our enclosed patio, feeding him twice a day, giving him lots of water and lots of love.
Sadly, Scooter was hit by a car on Friday, September 27th. We immediately rushed him to Flint Animal Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where they determined that he has 2 broken femurs. Fortunately, Scooter has no other internal injuries and is expected to make a full recovery post-surgery.
We are devastated about the situation and are not in the position to pay for the surgery in full - we are contributing as much as we can. We are also working with local animal charities to gain donations, and are now turning to the social media community to as for donations of any size, big or small.
We want to make it well known that Scooter will NOT be going back outside as a foster, and we will be permanently bringing him inside to live with us.
We are extremely appreciative of anything that might help, whether that be monetary donations, thoughts, or prayers. Jake and I would like to thank you all so much for the love and support - we just want to see Scooter be able to walk again! He's such a loving and sweet boy, and he deserves a second chance at life.
