Brad (Bubba) and Keri Whitley

Hi, my name is Michele Whitley, the sister-in-law of Brad and Keri Whitley. I'm fundraising in their behalf.

Brad was diagnosed in July this year with Stage 4 Small Cell Carcinoma. Beating this type of cancer isn't possible, but certain treatments could buy precious time. He proceeded with multiple rounds of chemotherapy, therapeutic treatment, and now radiation on the tumors in his esophagus so that he is able to swallow food.

The heartbreaking news has come that all the treatments he's received has only given him 2 or 3 more months before the cancer takes over. And so, Brad and Keri made the decision for him to leave his job in order to spend the time he has left with all his loved ones doing the things they enjoy and making lasting memories for his wife, children, and grandson Porter.

It's times like these when we all know that money doesn't matter. When true love and humanity shines forth. What truly matters is taking place now in the Whitley family. Love. Kindness. Togetherness. What a blissful world if it could always be this way, everyday. However, the world will continue to turn, and the stresses will come.

With Brad leaving his job, counting the weeks of pay, sick leave, etc., there will be a gap before disability benefits begin in 3 months. Many, feeling helpless, have asked what they can do to help Brad and Keri. Easing some of this financial burden for them would be a gift from Heaven.

If you are able, any donation, no matter how small, is most appreciated. All donations will go directly to them, and will be used to help with medical bills and the bills Brads missing income would normally handle.

To share an inside view of Brad and Keri's home... having recently enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner all together, I watch them in awe at the peace, joy and laughter that fills their home. I love them beyond measure, and am honored to call them brother and sister.
