Brad Mayhew Cancer Fight

Hello everyone. No one “likes” to come to Go Fund Me and ask for help……but sometimes there are few alternatives. Our own Bradley Mayhew has been diagnosed with Cancer. His wife Sue says he is in the early stages of testing.
Below is a message that was sent out to their family.
“The Doctor is great. Brad needs another CT scan to determine where this cancer is coming from, ie what kind of cancer is this? He gave us a worst case (lung because he smoked so long) or blood disease (myeloma or leukemia-this is the better case).
He prescribed new pain meds but insurance being what it is.... Walgreens is doing what they can to try to get them covered for us. Until then, he’s taking oxycodone alone. He has an appointment for the CT scan for tomorrow at 7:45am.
He starts daily radiation treatments July 23 (Thursday) in Largo. He can no longer drive, so we’re playing “Driving Mr. Bradley.” He also has to go in for COVID-19 test so he can then get biopsy done. About a week after biopsy, he’ll see oncologist again.
What do we know for sure?
He has metastatic lesions on his pelvic bone with some soft tissue component in two areas
White blood count is elevated
Platelet count is abnormal”
As you can imagine, expenses start to add up quickly and their insurance deductible and co pay is HIGH so they have a lot out of pocket. He cannot drive and really cannot work so they have almost NO income right now. Anything you can contribute to help would be appreciated. And please share this fundraiser as well if you can. Brad has worked for many neighbors and friends and completed construction projects around their houses. Sue was the President of our Fairway Estates Women’s club for a few years. They have always kept to themselves for the most part but are truly kind people who don’t deserve this and it would mean a lot to ME personally even if you don’t know them if you could help. Any amount you can spare it will all add up. I do not know what other help they may need but will try to update as I learn more.
They are trying to remain positive and hopeful but as you can imagine this diagnosis is a real gut punch.
