Bradford on Avon CC Net Project

Bradford on Avon cricket club are fundraising for a state of the art two-lane artificial net. 

We now have planning permission in place to get this projected completed in summer 2024!

Over the last few years, we have seen our club flourish and grow, with more people than ever before playing cricket at Culver Close. We now have more than 150 youth members playing at the club, from ages 4 to 15 - both boys and girls. We have worked hard in the last few years to make sure these young players have a safe, fun and fulfilling environment in which to play their cricket. Our committed and growing group of youth coaches have provided an incredible amount of time and effort to help get us to this stage.

The next step is now to add artificial nets to our ground on Culver Close. The new two-lane facility will allow for more worthwhile practice with a hard ball and also allow play to continue in worse weather. We are desperate to make sure anyone who wants to play cricket in BOA is able to! Getting these nets built is vital in building towards that goal.

In addition, we have three adults sides playing on a Saturday as well as friendly matches on Wednesday’s and Sunday’s. We also have a growing women's side that is improving with every season and taking part in more games. The senior players are in desperate need of a new facility that allows to train more effeciently and an area where they can work with those younger players looking step up to adult cricket.

As a club, we have already committed thousands of our own funds to this project and we hope to also secure funds from the town council, local area board and a variety of charities and public bodies.
