Hi, my name is Sarah and I lost my dad suddenly and tragically on January 18, 2024. He was battling bladder cancer and we thought he was in remission when it came back aggressively. After having emergency surgery we were able to bring him home, but due to sudden complications he passed away only two days later.
My dad was an amazing man, and he loved me and my mom and all of our family so very much. We are heartbroken with this sudden loss.
I am fundraising on behalf of my Mom and Grandma to help pay for memorial costs, as well as medical and living expenses.
My Grandpa passed away in October 2020 and my parents brought my Grandma home to live with them so she wasn't on her own after losing her husband of 65 years. My Mom and Grandma thankfully have each other to lean on but it is my deepest wish that I can help ease their hearts and minds with this fundraiser.
My dad was such a cool guy. He loved classic rock and sci-fi and mysteries and was a huge Utah Jazz fan.
He took me to see my first concert when I was 16, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and that began my own love of classic rock. He was an incredible story teller and would entertain family and friends with his stories. He and my Grandma would watch basketball together, every game they could. Both because of their love of the game but also in memory of my Grandpa and how much he loved the game.
He adored my children and gave them both so many wonderful memories of being "silly GrampE".
He loved my mom and while they had their ups and downs he said there was no one else he'd want to spend his life with.
My dad was a fighter, he was 21 years sober and looked at every day as a gift to himself and our family.
I miss him terribly and I know his love and spirit will continue on.
Thank you for reading a little bit about my Dad. Hug your loved one's close and cherish everyday you have together.
