Bradly Troute’s Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Kelsey Troute & my family is trying to help raise funds for my brother Bradly Troute who was in a near fatal accident November 14th, 2022. Bradly is a Driller for Timberline Drilling Company & on the night of November 14th he was life flighted from a mine in BattleMountain to Renown Regional Medical Center 3 hours away in Reno NV. Bradly arrived to the hospital with a fractured skull which resulted in 25 staples to his head & a severe concussion. He also has 6 fractures & brakes in his back & has had his pinky, ring & middle finger amputated on his right dominant hand. With limited blood supply to his pointer finger & thumb, the doctors are hopeful they will survive & remain attached. After his 3rd hand surgery within the first few days of being in ICU, Bradly lost feeling in both legs from the waist down. An MRI showed Bradly had a epidural hematoma in his spinal cord, which is a blood clot. They rushed Bradly in for another emergency surgery & preformed a Laminectomy from his L1- T9, & removed the blood clot from his T9- T12. Due to that surgery Bradly has temporary paralysis from the waist down & very limited feeling to his legs & feet. With months of hard effort & extensive rehabilitation that is to come, the doctors are hopeful that he will regain mobility & full functionality of his legs. Bradly has many more hand surgeries to come to rebuild his right hand. They are expecting him to remain in Renown Regional Medical Center for several more weeks, & once stable, he will then be taken by medical flight to a rehabilitation center in Denver, CO, Craig’s Spinal Rehab Hospital. Doctors say he will be at the rehab center for 3-4 months. Bradly has shown courage & strength though this life changing accident, & is driven to fight through this to one day be able to return to work again. On behalf of our mother Judy Jones who has been by his side through this all, as well as myself & our family, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your thoughts & prayers through this devastating time & thank you for any help you can give during this time.
