Help Us Rebuild Bradshaw Oxygen LLC After the Fire

Hey everyone, we’re Sarah and Patrick Bradshaw, and we own Bradshaw Oxygen LLC, a small, family-run business in Asheville, NC. Earlier this month, we were hit with something we never saw coming a fire in the shop next to ours that completely wrecked our space.

Patrick showed up early that morning to open up like usual and walked straight into thick, chemical-filled smoke. The fire had just started, caused by a lithium-ion battery explosion in the unit next door. He called the fire department right away, but the smoke and water damage from their efforts spread fast, destroying everything in our shop equipment, inventory, tools… it’s all gone. Once the water hit the chemical-filled smoke, it absorbed into everything, making the damage even worse.

This Business Is Our Life

We started Bradshaw Oxygen LLC in our basement and built it from the ground up just the two of us. We provide equipment to individuals, care facilities, and the glassblowing community.

We’ve always run our business with heart. We donate equipment to people in need, do giveaways twice a year for glassblowers, and Patrick is quick to send parts for free or troubleshoot over the phone when someone’s in a bind. That’s just how we do things.

Why We’re Asking for Help

We were told the insurance claim has to go through the battery manufacturer. That process is out of our hands and could take months and even then, there’s no guarantee we’ll be made whole.

In the meantime, we’ve lost our shop our main space for doing business and a big part of our income. We’re doing what we can from home and pulling inventory from another unit, but we need to find a new location and rebuild.
