It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Brady Cullen on Friday September 9th, 2022.
To those who knew and loved Brady, he will be remembered as the most generous, kind and creative young person who would go bankrupt to serve and help others.
Brady was born in Weyauwega, Wisconsin to parents Tom and Renee Cullen, was preceded in death by older brother Tommy and has siblings Hailey and Westly still in Wisconsin, along with their spouses and children who Brady adored.
Brady graduated from Weyauwega Fremont High School in 2008 where he was an active member in FFA, a percussionist in the band and was a record setter in track and field and cross country. Following high school, Brady moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin where he attended classes for a bit but mostly spent his time working in bars and restaurants, constantly making friends and always striving to serve and entertain others.
Brady's next adventure brought him to Denver, Colorado where he lived the majority of his adult life. It was here in Denver that Brady found himself, a community, and his soul mate, Gina. Brady and Gina were first “phone friends”as they both worked for the same company but were always traveling separately. Their bond was instant and deep, and they spoke for hours before even meeting face-to-face. Their “confusing as hell” relationship began in February 2016 and grew into the most beautiful partnership. Brady and Gina cemented their platonic love, took the plunge and moved in together officially in October 2018. From then on these ridiculous two friends were always “having a proper f*ck-about” and finding joy in the mundane. Whether it was taking WFH conference calls together while making up dumb games and throwing shit around their apartment, staying in cozies all day while Brady made Gina all her meals, often cutting her food because “a meal isn’t complete until it is properly plated and garnished”, or having a lazy day with Jordan and a grazing board of chicken tendies to enoy throughout the weekend- they did life together. They celebrated holidays with Gina’s family, they grew as individuals together, they had the hard conversations about their future, and they had the most fun two people could have while simultaneously doing absolutely nothing. Everyone knew that the best food, hospitality, party, after-party, and after-after-party was at “Lounge 27”, the given name to their Denver home. Moving to Arizona had been a challenge, but recently they had planned out their next steps and were excited to work remote and explore the world, bothering all the people who had offered their guest rooms and couches. Brady loved Gina so very much, and they completed each other. He had his person. Brady was the embodiment of “Love is Love” and he proved that everyday.
Brady loved to entertain, host parties and get-togethers and cook for anyone and everyone. Nothing made him happier than a perfect meal. He loved to travel with his friends, having adventures that have spanned across the globe including Mexico, Canada, Turkey and the Seychelles. He knew every lyric to every song (and would sing them all)! He was an amazing writer and speaker who wasn’t afraid to stand up for his beliefs through which he inspired others. He could take the awkward out of any situation and had a laugh that was funnier than any joke he told. He was a supporter of many different organizations that he believed in and had a heart of a servant. Brady will be remembered for his grace and kindness, his passionate self and his adventurous spirit.
His professional careers, of which he held many, allowed Brady to practice his ultimate skill, being in the service of others. Whether he was working in a bar, as a real estate broker, as a leasing agent or as an executive assistant- Brady was always putting his customers first. For the first five years of his Colorado adventure, Brady found himself working at the Four Seasons Hotel and Private residences where he served as the resident coordinator, and formed strong bonds of friendship with his coworkers and residents alike, all of which he maintained to this day.
Following the Four Seasons, Brady moved on to R Investments where he wore many many hats including: design, property management, marketing, training and working as the executive assistant to the President and CFO of R Communities. Most of the time traveling throughout the US and getting to see his friends everywhere. Finally while in Denver, Brady decided to get his Real Estate license where he excelled at staging homes for sale and catering to every need of his clients. Brady’s current venture was to live out his personal life mission, “To live a conscious life, guided by feelings, as an advocate for balance within it, spirituality within its wildness, meaning within its connections, and understanding within my own, recognizing rest as a primary fuel and Earth as synonymous with life.”
Above all his hobbies and interests Brady loved his time with friends and family.
Brady was preceded in death by his older brother Thomas Cullen III (Tommy), grandparents Dee Lather and Thomas Cullen Sr. He is survived by his mother (Renee) and father (Thomas Jr), siblings : Westley Cullen (Krissa), Hailey Oehlke (Beau); nieces and nephews: Alexa, Fischer, Archer, Sawyer, Raelyn and Bronson; Grandmother: Fran Cullen (Gary Wiese), 19 aunts and uncles, 19 cousins. His best friend and life partner Gina Milano; Gina’s parents: Pat and Debbie Milano, Gina’s siblings: Stephanie (Jesse), Annie (Rich) and Patrick (Megan) and nieces and nephews Tristen, Olivia, Ariana and Mateo, and MANY other family members, very close friends and about 20-30 various plant babies of various names and species.
Brady’s drive was to leave this world a better place with a lasting legacy. He certainly has accomplished that.

Additionally, to honor the enormous impact Brady left, there will be a celebration of life in Denver during the weekend of October 14th. Brady dreamt of hosting a “Friends of Friends of Friends of Brady” party to bring all of the people he loved together. This will be our opportunity to fulfill that dream and connect the wide web of humans Brady touched during his too-brief time here on Earth. We don’t know where Brady is anymore, but we know he would be so tickled about a giant party with all of his people.
More details to come.
Brady's sudden death has left several expenses including cremation, transportation of remains, travel for family, medical bills, the memorial in Wisconsin and our planned celebration in Denver. If you’re able and so inclined, we’ve set up a Go Fund Me to accept monetary donations to help support these endeavors. Any excess funds will go to one of Brady's preferred charities.
