On August 4, 2022, my son Bradyn Barone was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. Indeed, he is still struggling to cope with an unexpected and grave diagnosis.

Quickly after Bradyn's diagnosis of ALL, he was put on very intensive chemotherapy to treat the aggressive nature of this rare type of blood cancer and remained hospitalized for a month. His life swiftly changed from a daily routine of work, exercise and planning his adult life to being bedridden and facing a fight for his life. Currently, he is being treated as an outpatient with consolidation chemo, which has required his relocation to Jacksonville until he receives a necessary bone marrow transplant before the end of the year.

Some of you have seen or know of Bradyn's perseverance and determination on the ice rink, his diligence and ambition to succeed in business endeavors, his life, and everything he sets his mind to. Given that, I am optimistic that he will also persevere and conquer this battle! This journey will continue to be long and arduous. I ask that you include him in your thoughts and prayers as we all continue to fight with and support him.
