Brady’s recovery after Nearly Fatal Accident

My brother, Brady, was in a terrible motorcycle accident on June 18th, 2023. He was rushed to the hospital via ambulance where he began the fight for his life in the Intensive Care Unit.

He suffered a multitude of injuries to all areas of his body, including a brain bleed (which also resulted in a stroke and leaking spinal fluid), a collapsed lung, and many breaks and fractures across his body. He was treated for meningitis for a couple of weeks, and monitored closely due to his high blood pressure and relentless fever. For days, he was intubated since he couldn’t breathe on his own, and in a drug-induced coma.

He was moved out of the ICU after roughly a week, then after 2 weeks in the Special Care Unit, he was eventually deemed stable enough to be transferred to a Rehabilitation Center, where he has been working on various forms of physical and occupational therapy. This is the final step for him before he is able to come back home, and even though he will be leaving the hospital, he still has a long road ahead.

Brady will be wheelchair-bound when he returns home due to multiple fractures of his pelvis, and because he won’t be able to bear weight for at least two months, he will be unable to return to work for a while.

And as many of you know, our mother was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months before this accident, and had to undergo surgery to remove it while Brady was recovering. Neither of them are currently able to work due to their injuries/surgeries, and so we are asking for any help to keep them afloat during this difficult time. Any donations are greatly appreciated.

Even though the odds were stacked against him for a while, Brady’s spirit hasn’t been crushed, and we are all so very fortunate to still have Brady and our mother in our lives.
