*****updated May 16th*****

Braedon has been called away way too soon. There were major complications during his transplant surgery of which he was unable to recover from.  We will all remember him with a warm heart: he was such a great kid with a smile that could melt your heart!

Any funds raised will go towards funeral expenses. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you to everyone.

This is Braedon Beebe Lyon, son of Tiffany Agnew (Beebe) and Mike Lyon, step parents James Agnew and Nancy Blair.
6 months ago Braedon was diagnosed with a rare condition called Hepatopulmonary Syndrome. This causes the blood vessels in his lungs to be enlarged making it difficult for his blood to absorb oxygen.

Due to this, Braedon requires oxygen assistance 24/7. He’s been unable to attend school or work his part time job since early December. Bathing, getting around, and basic daily activities have become extremely difficult for him even with oxygen assistance.

The only known cure for this syndrome is liver transplant. Braedon was officially added to the transplant list on May 9th and not a week later a liver has become available. Braedon is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning (May 15th). During the transplant surgery he will also need to have his spleen removed and, due to a condition he’s had since birth: portal vein thrombosis, he’ll need to have a repair (stint) made to his portal vein.

Because of the lasting effects of another life threatening illness Braedon suffered from when he  was 7, this surgery is extremely high risk and recovery will be lengthy. He is expected to be in a Halifax hospital for a minimum of 6 months.

Braedon's mom, Tiffany Agnew, will be staying with Braedon during this critical time which will result in many added expenses for her and her family. On top of putting her work on hold, she will have get an apartment in Halifax while her husband travels back and fourth to NB for work. Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated as they need to spend their time focusing on his recovery, not worrying about finances.

Please keep this family in your prayers and thanks so very much in advance.
