BraidFest Free Forever

Hi, my name is Debra Hare-Bey, Founder of International I Love Braids Day, July 29. I'm fundraising for a cause close to my heart: to celebrate, honor, and educate about the beauty, history, and cultural significance of braids. I was born and raised in my beloved Bed-Stuy, and I am a proud licensed Braider who has spent most of my life advocating for the universal acceptance of braids. As an advocate, I have been a vital resource in creating licensure around ethical education and texture inclusivity. Through my company, Oh My Heavenly Hair, a hair wellness brand dedicated to promoting texture inclusivity, I've been able to sustain this event. However, I do need help to continue making it a success. Your contribution will help cover essential operational cost of the celebration and help ensure a memorable experience for all attendees.
