Braidyn’s and Michael Last Weeks and Memorial
Donation protected
Hi, I’m ezri
I am a 23 years old and the guardian of my sister, Braidyn, who is 11 years old.
In February this year, our mother died of a stroke at 45 years old.
Meanwhile, Braidyn’s father had been diagnosed with terminal Glioblastoma in 2022.
Braidyn moved 3 1/2 hours away from where she’s grown up to live with me and Michael soon followed.
Michael spent the last five months establishing a life for himself here, while Braidyn and I found our routine and handled our grief.
The last five months have been filled with trying new things, making friends, and exploring, and learning to live with the changes and the grief.
On July 23rd, Michael was taken by ambulance to the PeaceHealth ER in Vancouver where we learned that his tumor grew back, twice the size and had metastasized and spread around his brain. There is no surgery that can be done, no treatment to elongate life, there is no fixing this.
This is why we chose to have Braidyn come with me, but we didn’t think it would be so soon.
Michael has fought so hard and we will be spending every second we have as a family, checking off his bucket list, and eating all the things we’ve ever wanted to try. We want give braidyn and Michael the time to just enjoy each other, which is why I’m here on the financial side.
Very soon Braidyn will have lost both of her parents in a matter of sixth months. There is no justification the ever make that fair.
I don’t want to have to worry about much things will cost in his last few weeks. I want them to just live.
If you can help, or know if resources to help, anything not used while they are together will be used to help with Braidyn and her comfort/life here in Vancouver.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
