Brain aneurysm/ Stroke

On August 20th 2018 my mother woke up to everyone's worst nightmare. She had fallen and was not able to feel either of her legs! Most of you that know my mother well know she refuses to ask for help. So after many minutes of pleading with her she agreed to let me call 911. We were then taken to St. Mary's hospital by ambulance to figure out what's going On! After a CT scan was done we were told my mother had a substantial brain bleed due to a brain aneurysm. They began calling La Crosse to find a neurologist. While waiting on what our next move would be mom coded on us and had to be resesatated. By the grace of GOD she survived! We were med flighted to UW Madison ICU where we still are today fighting this vicious tragedy. With further testing we then found out that she also had a stroke on top of it. After a brain aneurysm you go through many days of having vasospasms. Vasospasms are compared to mini strokes. Some people can have these for a couple days and others like my mother can have them they say from 18 to 21 days. Right now we are on day 14 and fighting as hard as we can to get her better and bring her home. She is currently being medically sedated to keep her vital signs controlled. I am starting this page to help with any medical and home bills that mom may have. Thanks to everyone who has showed support and has checked in on us. She is so loved and everyone has certainly made that clear during this tragic time
