Childhood Brain Cancer Round 2

Elijah Pate was first diagnosed with brain cancer at 12 years old. The effects of the 8.5 hour brain surgery required him to relearn how to see, walk, talk, use his hands, and all the little things the rest of us do so easily. Thanks to our incredible community Elijah was able to recover. After 10 months of chemo and 6 weeks of radiation, we thought we beat the cancer. Tragically, 16 year old Elijah’s cancer relapsed in the form of another brain tumor in a similar spot. Elijah will have to redo the progress he worked so so hard for the last couple years. His family is driving back and forth between Hood River and Portland because they can’t afford to take time off work. Any support would be so so appreciated by a family reliving a nightmare:
