Brain Tumour Research - N3P's Challenge
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Marcus
Along with my friends (Stuart Peers, Paul Witham, David Sidley, Richard Apps and Richard poulton.) I plan to take on the National 3 Peaks challenge to fundraise for Brain Tumour Research and help keep up the conversation around brain tumours.
My story is positive, but I am aware that others aren’t as fortunate, and I want to do what I can to help those living with their diagnosis.
I feel very blessed to have gone through what I have & to come out the other side fit & healthy.
Brain tumours are the biggest killer for adults under 40 & children, but historically only 1% of the national spend on cancer research goes into finding a cure for them.
I have been very fortunate that mine was benign, as the statistics for a non-benign tumour is that people only have a 12 percent chance of living past five years of diagnosis. This has to change & to raise money for brain tumour research is the first step in finding cures for future generations so that families don’t have to go through what so many currently are.
It costs £2,740 to fund a day of research into brain tumours, and so my 'dream' target is to fund two days - this is where you can help. Please donate whatever you can...every pound helps. Let's help to #FundTheFight
